Job summary

MAXIMUS is seeking an experienced Scrum Master to empower cross-functional technology delivery squads, ensuring predictable value delivery with a strong emphasis on quality, security and operational readiness.

You will coach agile practices, facilitate ceremonies, remove impediments, and provide governance through metrics and dashboards while building strong partnerships across the organisation to translate delivery challenges into measurable business impact.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Scrum Master in an agile software, digital or technology delivery environment.
• Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, Lean and iterative delivery principles.
• Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies, workshops, planning sessions and stakeholder meetings.
• Ability to coach technical and non-technical colleagues in agile practices and continuous improvement.
• Experience identifying and resolving impediments and managing risks, issues and cross-team dependencies.
• Ability to use delivery data and metrics to improve flow, predictability, quality and decision-making.
• Experience using agile delivery platforms such as Azure DevOps, Jira or Rally.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate effective Scrum ceremonies and coach squads to maintain focus on customer and business value.
• Identify and remove delivery impediments, improve flow, support capacity and release planning.
• Mentor squad members, product owners and stakeholders in agile practices and problem-solving.
• Use delivery metrics to identify risks and provide meaningful dashboards and insights.
• Build relationships across technology and the wider Maximus organisation and communicate progress clearly.
• Promote DevOps and continuous-delivery practices and encourage responsible AI-enabled productivity tools.
• Maintain delivery information in the agreed platform as the single source of truth.
