Job summary

Ntech Solutions in Reston, VA, is seeking a senior Agile Coach to lead large-scale SAFe transformations for a major health solutions organization. This role demands strategic influence across executives and teams to drive business outcomes and product-driven mindsets.

Hybrid work with required on-site presence in Reston, VA and Washington, D.C. for PI Planning, trainings, and workshops. DMV residency and in-person participation are mandatory.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of Lean and Agile experience driving enterprise-level change.
• 5+ years dedicated experience coaching and enabling teams within SAFe environments.
• Active SAFe SPC certification (6.0 preferred) with in-house SAFe-certified training delivery.
• Must reside in DMV area and attend on-site obligations in Reston, VA / D.C.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise Lean-Agile transformations using SAFe 6.0.
• Coach executives, program leaders, RTEs, POs, and Scrum Masters without positional authority.
• Identify value streams, launch and coach ARTs, and improve execution predictability, flow and quality.
• Deliver SAFe-certified training courses for corporate staff.
• Apply Lean-Agile and product thinking to platform teams supporting AWS/cloud and AI capabilities.
• Facilitate in-person coaching, PI Planning alignment, and micro-learning sessions in Reston, VA / D.C.

Overview

Client is seeking high-performing, strategic Agile Coaches to lead large-scale SAFe transformations for a major health solutions organization. This is not a ceremony-running or team-level Scrum Master role; we are looking for a true Change Agent who can operate comfortably across program levels, executive leadership, and technical teams. You will drive organizational change, connect Lean-Agile practices to clear business outcomes, and help modern software and platform engineering teams adopt product-driven mindsets.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise and program-level Lean-Agile transformations using the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe 6.0).
• Coach executives, program leaders, Release Train Engineers (RTEs), Product Owners, and Scrum Masters without relying on positional authority.
• Identify value streams, launch and coach Agile Release Trains (ARTs), and improve execution predictability, flow, and quality.
• Deliver internal SAFe-certified training courses (e.g., SAFe for Teams, SAFe POPM, SAFe Advanced Scrum Master) for corporate staff.
• Apply Lean-Agile and product management mindsets to internal platform teams supporting developer enablement, AWS cloud environments, and AI capabilities.
• Facilitate high-touch, in-person coaching, PI Planning alignment, and micro-learning sessions in the Reston, VA / D.C. offices.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of total Lean and Agile experience driving enterprise-level change.
• Minimum 5 years of dedicated experience coaching, training, and enabling teams within SAFe environments.
• Active SAFe Practice Consultant (SPC) certification (6.0 preferred) with demonstrated experience delivering SAFe-certified courses in-house.
• Track record of accountability for leading end-to-end program/ART transformations (not just participating in them).
• Must reside in the Washington, D.C., Maryland, or Virginia (DMV) area and be able to attend in-person interviews and regular on-site obligations in Reston, VA / D.C.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience applying Lean-Agile and product thinking principles to technical platform teams, internal tooling, and cloud/AWS infrastructure.
• Background working with healthcare or health insurance organizations.
• Experience coaching non-technical business units on Lean principles.
• Exposure to Agile coaching within environments deploying AI/ML technology capabilities.
