Akkodis is seeking a Senior Agile Coach with a Washington, DC-based client to join their team onsite in Washington, DC. The Senior Agile Coach will assess team maturity, tailor coaching plans, and guide teams to improve Agile practices while collaborating with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Program Managers.

Experience with Jira and government or regulated environments is preferred; strong change management skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience coaching Agile teams across complex organizations.
• Certification such as ICAgile Certified Professional - Agile Coaching, Certified Scrum Professional, SAFe Practice Consultant, or equivalent.
• Proven ability to assess team capabilities and drive improvements in Agile maturity.
• Experience navigating resistance and adapting coaching approaches.
• Experience with organizational playbooks and frameworks; government or regulated industries preferred.

Akkodis is seeking a Senior Agile Coach with a Washington DC-based client to join their team

Pay Range - 90-95/HR on w2 OR $100 on c2c

The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

BACKGROUND:

The Senior Agile Coach is responsible for assessing team maturity, creating tailored coaching

plans, and guiding teams to improve their Agile practices and capabilities regardless of their

starting point. This role works directly with teams to build foundational Agile skills, accelerate

mature teams' performance and navigate resistance to change. The Senior Agile Coach

collaborates closely with Scrum Masters, Product Owners, and Program Managers to ensure

teams deliver value effectively while adhering to the organization's Agile playbook and

standards. The Senior Agile Coach will follow the guidance and direction of the Agile Program

Manager.

REQUIREMENTS:

• At least seven (7) years of hands-on experience coaching Agile teams across various maturity levels in complex organizations.
• At least one of the following relevant certifications (e.g., ICAgile Certified Professional - Agile Coaching, Certified Scrum Professional, SAFe Practice Consultant, or equivalent) is required.
• Proven track record assessing team capabilities, creating effective coaching strategies, and driving measurable improvements in team performance and Agile maturity.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate organizational resistance and adapt coaching approaches
• Experience working within established organizational playbooks and frameworks while introducing industry best practices. Government or highly regulated industry experience preferred.
• Experience with Jira for work management.
