Job summary

Information Management Group (IMG) in Washington, DC is seeking a skilled Business Analyst for an on-site role. The analyst will collaborate with the Program Manager and developers to prioritize and manage backlogs, track progress, and conduct routine sprint planning.

He/she will also gather stakeholder feedback prior to production release and ensure alignment with project goals. Key responsibilities include managing Agile/Scrum development efforts for 08Y-EA, coordinating with stakeholders to

Qualifications

• Active DoD Top Secret or DOE Q security clearance.
• 3+ years of experience in program management or business analysis; Bachelor’s degree in a relevant concentration.
• Understanding the full software development lifecycle from design, coding, testing, documentation, operations and maintenance.
• Develop and execute test plans, leveraging automated testing tools when possible, to validate functional requirements.
• Experience performing the above with limited management oversight, independently and/or as part of a small team.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day management of the 08Y-EA application production efforts including planning and tracking of development using Agile and Scrum practices.
• Work with the program manager and stakeholders to develop, prioritize, and manage backlog items.
• Conduct sprint planning and tracking meetings in small teams with developers, product managers, and managers of Enterprise Applications.
• Conduct sprint review meetings to gather feedback and demonstrate completed work from requirements.
• Lead requirements gathering to ensure stakeholder needs and technical feedback are incorporated into software development lifecycle.
• Document and track risks, highlighting them to staff as appropriate.
• Use data-driven metrics to track developers’ time on task and identify workflow improvements.
• Coordinate backlog refinement meetings to develop long-term and strategic objectives.
• Brief staff and facilitate Planning Increment (PI) meetings to refine requirements.
