Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, is a vertically integrated supplier of aggregates, asphalt, ready mix concrete and paving services in Ohio. This role focuses on testing materials to ensure compliance with specifications, with responsibilities including data entry and reporting test results.

Ideal candidates will have a High School diploma, ASTM/AASHTO test familiarity, and ability to learn basic software tools. OT and night shifts may be required, with travel to job sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equal skill level.
• Ability to carry out standardized laboratory tests in accordance with ASTM and AASHTO standards.
• Knowledge of applicable regulations pertaining to safety, environment and transportation.

Responsibilities

• Test materials in a safe, efficient, and productive manner.
• Identify and become familiar with mix specifications requirements.
• Monitor quality of aggregates for specific jobs.
• Test materials to determine weight, gravity, and gradation.
• Input test results into computers in laboratories and remote locations.
• Communicate test results ethically per company policy.
