Job summary

The Shelly Company, a CRH company, seeks an Aggregate Plant Manager (Construction) to oversee both above-ground and underground mining operations in Ohio, including personnel, equipment, trucking, and materials.

You will drive safety, regulatory compliance, and operational efficiency while coordinating with Quality Control and management to meet production goals and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school
• Mine Foreman certification from the Ohio Department of Mineral Resource Management
• Two to four years related experience and/or training

Responsibilities

• Ensure operations comply with federal and state regulations (OSHA/MSHA/DEP).
• Supervise facility personnel and allocate resources.
• Enforce safety practices and conduct toolbox talks.
• Enforce company policies and document performance issues.
• Collaborate with Quality Control to meet specification requirements.
• Track fuel usage, hour meter readings, and mileage for equipment.
• Plan, assign, and direct work; develop subordinates' skills.
