Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a federal Public Sector Solution Engineer to design, build, and demonstrate Agentic Government Cloud solutions for government missions. You will lead discovery, shape proofs of concept, and guide activation with deep multi-stack technical skills across Salesforce and modern data architectures.

Qualifications

• 7+ years customer-facing solution/technical architecture experience (pre-sales, consulting, implementation).
• Degree in Computer Science required (B.S., Master's, or Ph.D.).
• Proficiency of Salesforce Core (Public Sector Solutions, Sales, Service, Experience Cloud) and the Data 360/Agentforce stack.
• Agentic + AI fluency: practical understanding of LLMs, RAG/grounding, evaluation concepts, and how agentic systems behave in production (safety, reliability, governance).
• Experience with agentic engineering tools (Cursor, Claude Code, Agentforce Vibes, etc).
• Ability to run technical & business discovery to define agentic solution use cases, success metrics, and a feasible execution plan.
• Executive + technical communication: able to lead whiteboards and communicate with developers and C-suite with equal fluency, and translate architecture to outcomes/ROI.
• Deep technical command of multi-tier architectures, including SQL/SoQL, schema modeling, and high-scale web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/LWC).
• Growth mindset; willingness to continually sharpen technical/advisory skills through enablement, labs, courses, and certifications.
• US Citizenship Required

Responsibilities

• Lead deep technical and business discovery sessions with federal stakeholders to uncover mission gaps and scope agentic use cases.
• Build high-impact demonstrations and POCs to show how autonomous AI agents can automate federal workflows.
• Deliver world-class product demonstrations illustrating how Salesforce solves agency missions.
• Create end-to-end technical architectures integrating Salesforce's Agentic Enterprise Platform with security and enterprise architecture needs.
• Lead hands-on technical workshops and Deep Dives for agency IT leads and Enterprise Architects.
• Present technical solutions to GS/Executive leadership, translating tech into mission outcomes.
• Lead technical responses to RFIs and RFPs with accuracy and security compliance.
• Drive activation with customers on agent definition and deployment strategy.
• Identify automation opportunities by gathering process and technical requirements.
• Build reusable accelerators and enable scale of delivery.
• Influence Product with Voice of the Customer insights.
• Leverage modern development tools and AI-assisted coding for rapid platform configuration.
