Job summary

Valerie Health is seeking an Agent Operations Associate to own build, deployment readiness, and production performance for document agents across multiple customers. You will translate requirements into reliable agent configurations, launch workflows, and monitor outcomes in a fast-paced, AI-driven environment.

About the role

As an Agent Operations Associate, you will own the build, deployment readiness, and production performance of Valerie’s document agents across a portfolio of customers.

This is a high-ownership generalist role at the intersection of operations, applied AI, data, and customer implementation. You will translate customer and operational requirements into reliable agent workflows, launch them into production, and remain accountable for how they perform.

You will develop a first-principles understanding of how clinical and administrative documents move through provider organizations: how they are received, interpreted, matched, routed, acted upon, and recorded. You will turn that operational reality into agent configurations, business rules, integrations, testing systems, and human-in-the-loop paths.

The work moves between levels. On the same day, you might join a customer workflow discussion, investigate performance using SQL, manually review failed cases, debug an integration with Engineering, and decide whether a workflow is ready for greater automation.

This role is designed for ambitious early-career generalists who want responsibility for outcomes rather than recommendations. You will gain unusual exposure to applied AI, healthcare operations, customers, and company-building, and help develop the operating systems Valerie needs to scale.

What you’ll do

• Own the Implementation Build: Own the build workstream for document-agent implementations, from workflow design and configuration through testing, launch readiness, and post-launch performance.

  Partner with Customer Strategy, which leads the overall customer implementation, to ensure the build meets customer requirements and timelines.

• Design and Improve Workflows: Translate complex customer processes into reliable automated workflows, including document intake, interpretation, routing, downstream actions, and exception handling.

• Measure and Prioritize: Build reporting, analyze performance, and prioritize opportunities based on where human-in-the-loop work consumes the most time.

• Increase Automation: Diagnose why tasks require human review and develop, test, and monitor improvements that safely move work toward automated completion.

• Build the Playbook: Turn successful implementations and optimization approaches into repeatable processes, configurations, and testing methods that help the team scale.

About you

We expect successful candidates to come from a range of backgrounds, including consulting, finance, analytics, technical implementation, product or business operations, and engineering-adjacent roles. Exceptional recent graduates with evidence of unusual ownership are also encouraged to apply.

This role will not be a fit for someone who wants to stay exclusively at the strategy level or focus only on technical work. Here, analytical thinking, technical problem-solving, and detailed execution are inseparable.
