Farmers Insurance – Richard Welsh Agency in Lakewood, CA is seeking an Agent in Training to join our sales team. You’ll build relationships with English- and Spanish-speaking clients, learn auto, home, life, and commercial insurance products, and work toward measurable sales goals with strong mentorship.

With paid training and ongoing coaching, you’ll develop insurance knowledge and client-management skills, while pursuing licensing requirements to advance within the agency.

Qualifications

• Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred or strongly encouraged.
• Experience in sales or customer service is advantageous.
• Willingness to learn and obtain required insurance licenses.

We're hiring an Agent in Training to join our team in Lakewood, CA. This is a sales-focused position for someone who enjoys working with people, is motivated by goals, and wants an opportunity to continue growing professionally and financially.

Bilingual English and Spanish candidates are strongly encouraged to apply.

Previous insurance experience is helpful, but not required. If you bring the communication skills, motivation, and willingness to learn, we'll provide training and support as you develop your insurance knowledge.

What You'll Do

You'll work directly with prospective and existing clients while learning the sales and business side of an insurance agency.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Connect with prospective customers through leads, referrals, outbound calls, and local networking

• Speak with clients to understand their needs, priorities, and current insurance coverage

• Prepare quotes and explain coverage options in a clear and approachable way

• Sell Auto, Home, Life, Commercial, and additional insurance products

• Identify opportunities to provide clients with additional protection

• Build relationships with both English and Spanish-speaking customers in the community

• Follow up with leads and existing clients consistently

• Work toward individual sales and production goals

• Keep client activity, leads, and follow-ups organized using CRM tools

• Continue developing your sales and insurance knowledge through training and coaching
