A Guest Services Agent is responsible for greeting and registering guests, checking guests out, and ensuring an outstanding guest experience and financial profitability for the hotel.

What will I be doing?

As a Guest Services Agent, your responsibilities include:

  • Greeting guests, completing registration, inputting and retrieving information from the computer, confirming guest details, selecting rooms, coding electronic keys, promoting hotel services, providing welcome packets, and guiding guests to their rooms.
  • Assisting guests with check-out, handling payments, processing credit/debit cards, converting foreign currency, and managing gift certificates and cards.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of hotel services, room categories, rates, packages, promotions, and local area information to answer guest inquiries.
  • Using up-selling techniques to promote hotel amenities and maximize occupancy.
  • Responding to guest requests and resolving issues promptly and courteously.
  • Handling guest complaints, conducting research, and negotiating solutions for guest satisfaction.
  • Receiving, relaying, and managing guest messages.
