Job Description: Front Desk Agent

As a Front Desk Agent, you will ensure a memorable experience for our guests from the moment they arrive. Your responsibilities include handling transactions, offering local insights, and creating a welcoming atmosphere that makes guests feel at home.

Key Accountabilities

• Welcome guests warmly to start their memorable experience.
• Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests in person or on the phone.
• Manage guest bookings, upselling, and provide information to enhance their stay.
• Handle cash and credit transactions accurately.
• Check guests in and out efficiently, including ID verification, handing out room keys, and managing safety deposit boxes.
• Anticipate guest needs by recording and acting on their preferences, and managing their requests and concerns.
• Assist guests with billing issues and local information, involving management when necessary.
• Follow safety procedures, report incidents, and wear protective gear as required.
• Maintain a professional appearance and represent the brand positively.
• Stay informed about daily events and activities.
• Assist colleagues with additional duties as needed.

Key Skills & Experiences

• Excellent communication skills to address guest concerns and compliments.
• Problem-solving skills to turn issues into positive experiences.
• Fluency in the local language; additional languages are a plus.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, basic math, and computer skills.
• Flexibility to work night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• High school diploma or equivalent; higher education is a bonus.
• At least one year of experience in front desk or guest services preferred.
• Physical strength to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 lbs (23 kg), including bending and kneeling.
