Job summary

Rifa AI is seeking an Agent Engineer to own a client’s voice or chat agent in production, handling requirements through pilot, production, and iterative improvements. You’ll write and maintain the agent’s instruction sets and build automated tests to ensure the agent follows procedures and remains compliant.

You will debug live conversations, inspect model instructions, and work closely with US enterprise clients to drive measurable business outcomes and improvements in real-time agent

Qualifications

• 2 to 5 years building and running production systems.
• You write Python code that others can read, review, and debug by forming a theory and testing it.
• Experience with async code and a relational database.
• Comfort working directly with customers to understand needs and solve real-world problems.
• Strong written communication; instructions and incident writeups are critical.

Responsibilities

• Own a client delivery end to end—from requirements to pilot, production, and continuous iteration.
• Engineer the agent’s behavior by writing and maintaining instruction sets that govern what the agent says and does.
• Build the evaluation gate with automated tests that replay past conversations and ensure compliance.
• Debug live conversations by inspecting system state and the exact instructions given to the model.
• Work directly with clients to translate needs into scoped changes and communicate effectively.
