Job summary

Avoca is hiring an Agent Engineer in New York City to embed with customers, understand their workflows, and design tailored AI solutions that deliver immediate impact. You will build the infrastructure for conversational AI, APIs, integrations, and monitoring, translating business needs into scalable deployments.

You’ll work with product teams to shape the roadmap, operate autonomously in fast-paced environments, and contribute to high-value projects that redefine how home services engage

Qualifications

• 3+ years of software engineering experience.
• Strong communication skills for cross-functional work.
• Experience delivering AI/ML or conversational AI solutions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Embed with customers to understand operations and deliver AI solutions that work from day one.
• Build and maintain infrastructure for conversational AI, APIs, integrations, monitoring, and feedback loops.
• Translate business requirements into technical architectures and deployments.
• Identify patterns across deployments and feed insights back into the product roadmap.
• Operate with high autonomy in high-stakes, ambiguous environments.
