Job summary

Nick Myers Agency in Portage, MI is hiring an Insurance Sales Agent. Base pay plus uncapped commission with paid training and coaching. No prior insurance experience required; licensing offered as needed. Monday–Friday schedule with opportunities for advancement and leadership roles.

You will connect with prospective and existing customers, assess coverage needs, explain options, and help them choose Auto, Home, Life, and Business insurance products. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.

You don't need years of insurance experience to get started. If you bring strong communication skills, a willingness to learn, and the motivation to improve, you'll receive hands-on training and coaching to help you build the rest.
What Your Day Will Look Like
You'll spend your time connecting with prospective and existing customers, learning what matters to them, and helping them find coverage that fits their needs.
You'll also:

• Reach out to prospects through agency leads, referrals, phone calls, email, and other outreach
• Ask questions to understand customers' needs, priorities, and current insurance coverage
• Prepare quotes and explain coverage options in a clear, approachable way
• Recommend Auto, Home, Life, Business, and other insurance products
• Follow up consistently with prospects throughout the sales process
• Build relationships with existing customers and identify additional coverage opportunities
• Work toward individual and agency sales goals
• Keep your pipeline and customer activity organized
• Participate in ongoing sales coaching, product training, and professional development

Previous experience in sales, customer service, retail, banking, hospitality, automotive, or another customer-facing role is helpful, but insurance experience is not required.
A Property & Casualty and/or Life & Health license is preferred. Candidates who are not currently licensed should be willing to complete the required licensing process.
