Our client, a P/E backed MGA, provides a full suite of insurance services to niche markets with high growth potential across the U.S. Fueling its business are well-established partnerships and affinity relationships with leading associations across various sectors.

With retail and delegated authority underwriting operations, the company has built a reputation for delivering high-touch service and specialized solutions tailored to its clients’ needs.

You’ll lead a retail agency team of producers and CSRs to drive performance and revenue optimization and serve as the relationship manager for key strategic affinity partnerships in both the self-storage and construction verticals.

Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, you’ll own and manage the team’s workflow, operational strategy, and sales initiatives, while having significant autonomy and influence on the agency’s overall strategic direction.

You’ll have the opportunity to work with an entrepreneurial leadership team with deep underwriting and sector expertise, a relentless focus on service execution & customer satisfaction, and a commitment to investing in its employees.

What we want you to accomplish

We’re seeking an engaging and customer-centric sales leader & coach with a roll-up-your-sleeves mentality who can drive top-line growth and optimize the sales team’s productivity.

You’ll be responsible for:

  1. Developing & executing annual sales plans, monitoring pipelines, identifying high-potential opportunities, and removing barriers to growth.
  2. Driving client retention and agency profitability by supporting cross-selling and up-selling strategies.
  3. Mentoring, training & coaching team members, setting KPIs, and managing performance. Recruiting and onboarding new team members.
  4. Identifying and implementing measures that optimize the effectiveness of the CRM platform for client management, lead generation, and performance analytics.
  5. Ensuring the Agency Management System is leveraged for operational efficiency, reporting, and team productivity.
  6. Serving as a key liaison to affinity partners in self-storage and construction to coordinate product distribution strategies and joint marketing initiatives.

What we require

  • At least 5 years’ experience as a licensed retail insurance agent.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a team leader managing and growing high-performance sales and service professionals in an insurance agency or similar environment.
  • Proficiency with CRM and AMS platforms. Experience with Momentum is a plus.
  • Familiarity with construction and/or self-storage insurance programs is a plus.
  • Ability to leverage technology to develop and implement process improvements that drive operational efficiency.
  • Highly independent, curious, and resourceful, with exceptional communication skills and a comfort engaging with various stakeholders.
