Recruiting from Scratch is a talent agency that connects exceptional people to top companies. We represent clients globally - from new startups to large enterprises - and help them find the best talent possible for engineering, product, design, accounting, finance, GTM, commercial, and senior leadership roles.

The Opportunity (Let's be real about it)

We're expanding our recruiting team with contract-to-hire recruiters who aren't afraid of a challenge. This remote role requires someone based in the United States, ideally near our client hubs: San Francisco, New York City, Los Angeles, or another major metro area.

Fair warning: This isn't your laid-back recruiting gig. You'll be working in a fast-paced staffing environment where filling roles quickly isn't just preferred—it's expected. But for the right person, this intensity is exactly what makes the job exciting.

What You'll Actually Do
  • Own entire recruitment pipelines from sourcing to closing (yes, ALL of it)
  • Get creative in finding new clients through cold calling, LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, and networking (rejection is part of the game)
  • Bring hustle energy EVERY day to find candidates and get them in front of clients
  • Maintain meticulous records in Recruiterflow (organization matters in chaos)
  • Create job postings that actually attract talent
  • Submit candidates with all the information decision-makers need
  • Guide candidates through the process, making it smooth despite the pace
  • Navigate the offer process, including tough salary negotiations

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in any field
  • At least 6 months experience in high-volume agency recruiting
  • US-based location (this is non-negotiable)
  • Communication skills that stand out in both writing and conversation
  • Ability to thrive in an interrupt-driven, competitive environment
  • Detail-orientation when everyone else is rushing
  • Self-starter mindset with collaborative abilities when needed
  • Proficiency with ATS systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and other recruiting tools
The Practical Details
  • Location: Remote in United States
  • Compensation: $20-$25/hour during 3-month contract period, converting to full-time with salary + benefits upon successful completion
