Job summary

Advanced Energy in Milpitas, CA is seeking an Inventory / Materials Handler to move, locate, pull and count inventory and perform material transactions. You will support Production by handling requests and ensuring accurate material processes in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include stocking, stocking checks, kitting for assembly, cycle counts, and communicating issues to Planners and Buyers. Requires HS diploma and SAP familiarity; driving may be required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Experience in storeroom, warehousing, or material handling preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of material handling/logistics systems and SAP.

Responsibilities

  • Store and distribute materials, parts and supplies.
  • Prepare kitting packages for assembly and production.
  • Perform daily cycle counts and resolve discrepancies.
  • Ensure inventory control and security of materials.

++POSITION SUMMARY:++

Moves, locates, pulls, and counts inventory in a variety of locations and performs all necessary software transactions. Ensures accurate inventory and material processes are followed. Attends to the material requests from Production or other personnel.

++RESPONSIBILITIES:++
  • Responsible for the physical and administrative tasks involved in the storing and distributing of materials, parts, supplies and equipment. Distribution can include the driving of a company truck to transport materials.
  • Examines, stocks, and kits materials in inventory and on manufacturing lines.
  • Prepares kitting packages for assembly production, service repair, and sales orders.
  • Performs daily cycle counts, posts inventory counts as applicable, and helps resolve discrepancies
  • Ensures the security and accountability of materials and goods with inventory control
  • Communicates issues appropriately to Planners, Buyers, etc
  • Responds to requests & inquiries quickly and professionally
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Required to achieve certification in specific area Minimal problem-solving and investigation
  • Basic knowledge of material handling/logistics systems and SAP
  • Works under direct supervision.
  • Experience in storeroom, warehousing, or other material handling position preferred
  • Experience with Microsoft Windows, Outlook, and Excel desired.
  • Experience transporting material via truck desired, with acceptable driving record according to AE policy.

COMPENSATION:

As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Advanced Energy provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, level of experience, and specific office location. The range of starting pay for this role is $23.00 per hour to $26.00 per hour (non-exempt role).
