Job summary

Farmers Insurance offers a 12‑month mentorship program designed to train driven individuals to run an insurance agency before launching one of their own. You will work closely with an experienced mentor agent, gaining hands-on experience in agency operations, sales, client relationships, team development, marketing, retention, and growth.

As you progress toward premium goals, you may graduate into your own Farmers agency—without the initial capital review typically required to open an agency.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Motivation to meet goals and grow within a sales environment.
• Willingness to obtain licenses as needed.

Responsibilities

• Connect with prospective clients to assess insurance needs and recommend coverage.
• Quote and sell auto, home, renters, life, and business insurance products.
• Follow up with leads and clients to build relationships and generate new sales.
• Educate clients on coverage options, policy features, and protection strategies.
• Meet or exceed sales goals and contribute to agency growth.
• Maintain accurate client records and follow-up activity.
• Provide excellent customer service before, during, and after the sale.
• Cross-sell additional products to build a well-rounded plan.
• Build relationships in the local community for referrals.
