Job summary

Colonial Life in Baton Rouge is seeking an independent, onsite Agency Development Manager to build and support an independent insurance sales team. This contract role combines recruiting, training, and hands-on leadership with earnings tied to sales performance.

You will recruit and train new sales representatives, assist with interviews, coach prospecting and presentations, and support agents toward meeting sales goals. Compensation reflects commissions and renewal income based on performance.

Qualifications

• B2B sales experience.
• Proven ability to recruit, develop, and lead sales teams.
• Insurance sales background with a Life & Accident/Health Insurance License, or willingness to obtain one.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic, able to work independently while inspiring teams.

Responsibilities

• Recruit and train new sales representatives to support agency growth.
• Assist with interviews and help onboard new agents through training.
• Coach agents on prospecting and presentation skills.
• Support new sales representatives in working toward sales goals.
• Use technology and tools to support prospecting, client acquisition, and ongoing account management.
• Lead and participate in onboarding activities for newly recruited agents.
