Job summary

Ziegler Ag Equipment is seeking a customer-focused, ambitious sales professional to join our Ag Sales Team. This inside sales role in Postville, IA focuses on building relationships, managing a fast-paced pipeline, and supporting customers throughout their buying journey.

You will develop relationships with customers, generate leads by phone and in person, assist walk-in clients, and execute direct sales across our product lines. Base pay plus uncapped commission; travel 25%+.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred in business or agriculture.
• Strong agricultural background and interest in supporting customers in the ag market.
• Previous inside sales or customer service experience, especially phone-based, is a strong plus.
• Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Promote and sell equipment to prospective and existing customers
• Ensure every customer has a positive first interaction and leaves with a favorable impression
• Build strong rapport with customers while balancing personal and professional relationships
• Follow up on all customer leads, requests, and inquiries
• Respond to administrative and managerial requests promptly
• Meet with customers at the branch or on-site for presentations and demonstrations
• Address needs of walk-in customers in a timely and professional manner
• Present a pricing strategy aligned with company policy
• Prospect and engage new customers regularly
• Maintain customer information and sales activities in the CRM
• Present a professional appearance
• Create and deliver quotes and product materials based on customer needs
• Research knowledge of competitive products and competitor activity
• Promote current parts and service offerings
• Collaborate across departments to support a team-selling environment
• Schedule and conduct customer site demonstrations and field sales activities
• Manage the sales process by asking effective questions and listening to provide tailored solutions
