Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a part-time Afterschool Site Lead to manage a licensed school-age program. You will ensure safety, supervise staff, implement the YMCA curriculum, and build strong relationships with families and partners.

You’ll coordinate daily operations, monitor licensing compliance, and oversee activity centers while maintaining accurate attendance and enrollment records. This is a weekday schedule with early mornings and afternoons.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or GED; 70 training hours in youth development or management.
• At least 1 year of experience with youth in licensed childcare, school, or similar setting.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications (or ability to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Lead licensed afterschool program, ensuring safety and engagement.
• Oversee site operations, licensing compliance, and facility upkeep.
• Maintain attendance records and sign-in sheets.
• Develop age-appropriate activities per YMCA curriculum.
• Engage families and community partners.
• Plan safety drills and inspections.
