Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Houston is hiring an Afterschool Site Lead in Texas to oversee a licensed school-age enrichment program, ensuring children are safe, engaged, and well-supported daily. You will coordinate operations, implement the YMCA curriculum, and build strong relationships with families and school partners.

Responsibilities include maintaining records, supervising staff, ensuring licensing compliance, and driving program quality and growth.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age with a high school diploma or GED.
• 70 clock hours of training in child/youth development or management.
• Experience with youth in licensed settings.
• CPR, First Aid, AED, and Child Abuse Prevention certifications (or ability to obtain).
• Ability to plan and implement age-appropriate activities.
• Experience with diverse populations and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Lead a licensed school-age afterschool program, ensuring safety and engagement.
• Oversee daily operations, licensing compliance, and site management.
• Maintain attendance records, incident reporting, and safety drills.
• Engage families and school partners, and promote program growth.
• Lead planning, implementation, and evaluation of activities and curriculum.
