Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County is seeking enthusiastic Youth Development Professionals for the 2026-2027 school year to mentor youth in our afterschool program. You’ll help shape a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment while leading activities and tracking progress.

Ideal candidates bring experience with youth, strong teamwork, and a growth mindset. The role offers part-time, hourly pay and afternoon hours during the school year.

Qualifications

• Experience working with youth (ages 5-12 or 13-18) in educational, recreational, or development settings preferred.
• Strong communication skills and reliability as a team member.
• Ability to stay actively engaged with youth indoors and outdoors in varying weather; lift 25–50 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Youth Engagement: build positive relationships with youth through mentorship and activities.
• Social & Emotional Support: model positive communication and conflict resolution.
• Program Leadership: facilitate lessons, track activities, maintain welcoming spaces.
• Professional Growth: participate in paid staff meetings and development trainings.
