Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Utah County seeks Youth Development Professionals (YDP) for the 2026-2027 school year in an afterschool program. You will mentor and lead youth in a safe, inclusive, and fun environment, building relationships and fostering growth.

Shifts are Monday–Friday from 2:00pm–6:00pm, offering 15–22 hours per week at $15.00–$18.00 per hour. This part-time role runs August 6, 2026 through May 21, 2027, with paid staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with youth (ages 5–18) in educational, recreational, or development settings preferred.
• Reliable team player with strong communication skills and a growth mindset.
• Ability to stay actively engaged with youth indoors and outdoors in various weather conditions; ability to lift 25–50 lbs as needed.

Responsibilities

• Youth Engagement: Build positive relationships with youth through mentorship, sports, recess, and recreational activities.
• Social & Emotional Support: Model positive communication, empathy, and conflict resolution to help youth develop social-emotional skills.
• Program Leadership: Facilitate engaging lessons, assist with activity tracking, and maintain organized, welcoming spaces.
• Professional Growth: Attend paid staff meetings and participate in professional development trainings.
