Job summary

Big Ideas Educational Services Inc. seeks an Activity Leader to create a safe, engaging environment for elementary students while supporting teachers and site leadership.

You’ll assist with academic enrichment, physical fitness, and social-emotional development, ensuring every child feels welcomed and successful. You’ll supervise indoor/outdoor activities, support snack distribution, and help maintain a positive learning atmosphere.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Childcare or youth development experience preferred (1–2 years).
• Florida Level II background screening required.
• 40-hour Introductory Child Care Training (if applicable).
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare lesson materials, learning centers, bulletin boards, and activity supplies.
• Lead engaging physical fitness, recreation, and wellness activities.
• Support homework assistance and academic enrichment.
• Reinforce social-emotional learning through daily interactions and activities.
• Supervise students during indoor and outdoor activities while maintaining a safe environment.
• Assist with snack distribution, transitions, arrival, dismissal, and site operations.
• Encourage positive behavior while building respectful relationships with students.
• Follow daily schedules and support STEM, literacy, arts, and enrichment programming.
• Work collaboratively with site staff to create a fun, structured, and positive learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with families and site leadership.
• Participate in required staff meetings and professional development.
• Follow all Big Ideas policies, safety procedures, and chain of command.
