Job summary

Boys & Girls Clubs of Delaware seeks an Youth Development Professional III to support a 21st Century Grant tutoring program for school‑age youth (ages 6–12). The role focuses on tutoring, enrichment activities, and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum under program supervision.

The position ends in June 2027 and requires license teaching credentials, background checks, and First Aid/CPR certification. Work hours are after school, Monday through Thursday.

Qualifications

• This is a grant partnership; current elementary or middle school teaching experience is preferred.
• It is required to be licensed teachers, retired teachers, or certified paraprofessionals.
• Must meet Delaware OCCL and state teaching requirements.
• Pass FBI clearance and state background checks; abuse registries checked.
• First Aid/CPR certification or completion within two months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Tutor one-on-one or in small groups to support homework and enrichment.
• Collaborate with the Program Director to implement a 21st Century Grant curriculum.
• Supervise children in accordance with licensing and club policies.
• Promote high‑yield learning activities and positive youth development.
• Maintain safety and follow all regulations and program guidelines.
