The YMCA in Worcester seeks an OST Educator to implement developmentally appropriate curriculum for children in the after-school program.

Responsibilities include supervising activities, ensuring safety, and fostering positive relationships with youth and families while modeling YMCA values. Requires a high school diploma and CPR/First Aid/AED certifications or availability to complete within 60 days of hire.

Qualifikationen

• Requires CPR, First Aid, and AED certifications; or within 60 days of hire.
• Child Abuse Prevention training required within 30 days of hire.
• Experience with children (min 6 months) preferred.
• Meets minimum age standards as established by state law and the Y.

Aufgaben

• Supervises a group of children and program activities.
• Follows all policies, procedures, and standards including safety, emergency procedures, and behavior guidance.
• Plans developmentally appropriate activities aligned with YMCA values.
• Fosters positive rapport with youth and models relationship-building skills.
• Provides opportunities for youth leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making.
• Maintains communication with parents/caregivers about child progress and needs.
