AmeriCorps & Senior Corps seeks an Afterschool Program Assistant to support Seattle’s youth through culturally sustaining programming in partner schools. You will design and lead afterschool lessons, tutor students, and collaborate with teachers to reinforce learning.

During the summer, you will assist enrichment programs and help train volunteers. The position provides a monthly stipend and health coverage, with an education award upon successful service.

Qualifications

• Teaching and tutoring experience with students.
• Ability to work with diverse communities and cultures.
• Strong collaboration with school staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• The Afterschool Program Assistant will design and deliver afterschool lessons aligned with classroom content.
• Collaborate with school staff on culturally sustaining education and ethnic studies content; tutor students.
• Train volunteers, design activities, and monitor student progress and outcomes.
