New York Edge, the largest provider of after-school and summer camp programs in New York City public schools, is seeking a STEM Activity Instructor to lead and co-lead daily activities at after-school program sites. The role focuses on designing lesson plans and delivering curricula across sites while supporting the program director by preparing materials and explaining safety procedures to students.

The position is part-time, in-person, with hours from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday,

Formación

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Experience teaching youth or working with children/teens is preferred.
• Knowledgeable in STEM activities and able to teach across Math, Robotics, Science, Coding, Technology, and Engineering.

Responsabilidades

• Build relationships with students and co-lead daily activities.
• Learn and facilitate STEM curriculum across program sites.
• Prepare materials for daily activities and adapt instruction to student needs.
• Communicate objectives and safety procedures to participants.
• Input data and assist with reports and assessments.
