YMCA of the East Bay is seeking energetic team members for the Y-Kids Program in Pleasant Hill, CA. The role involves planning and implementing curriculum, supporting daily activities, and promoting YMCA values while ensuring child safety and well-being.

The position requires 18+ years of age, valid pediatric first aid/CPR certificates, and CA licensing qualifications. This is a part-time, on-site role with opportunities for growth and collaboration with a dedicated team.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent; AA or Bachelors degree preferred.
• Meets CA state licensing requirements including 12 ECE units.
• 1 year of experience in professional child care or school-aged program.
• Ability to relate to diverse groups.

Responsabilités

• Plan and implement curriculum within guidelines and prepare supplies.
• Collaborate with staff to maintain program quality.
• Provide direction to assistants and aides.
• Foster child growth and development and promote YMCA values.
• Care for children's health and well-being; administer first aid when needed.
• Use appropriate discipline methods with children.
• Report notable behavior to supervisor and document incidents.
• Maintain strong communication with families, personnel and community partners.
• Maintain program records and attendance.
• Attend trainings and staff meetings; participate in events.
• Keep the center clean and comply with licensing standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
