Job summary

YMCA is seeking a part-time After School Childcare Program Aide to supervise children and support a holistic curriculum at an assigned site. You will work with the Site Director to promote learning opportunities and ensure a safe, engaging environment that reflects YMCA values.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, with 2+ years in working with school-age children and customer service experience. First Aid/CPR/AED certification or willingness to obtain within 60 days is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
• Certifications in First Aid/CPR/AED preferred or willingness to obtain within 60 days.
• Experience with school-age children and customer service desirable.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children, promote learning opportunities and lead activities.
• Assist Site Director in planning and implementing a holistic curriculum reflecting Y values.
• Model positive behavior and decision-making.
• Participate in trainings and in-services; use development techniques to manage classroom.
• Provide substitute coverage as needed; enforce policies from guides and handbook.
