Job summary

E.L. Haynes Public Charter School is seeking an Out of School Time (OST) Manager for the Middle School to co-design and lead afterschool programs.

You will recruit and onboard staff, design homework support, manage day-to-day operations, and oversee partnerships with outside providers and clubs. Reporting to the OST Director with guidance from the Middle School Principal, you will help align afterschool activities with the daytime curriculum and school culture, ensuring equity and high-quality

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or 5-7 years of experience working with PK‑12 students.
• Outstanding organizational skills and acute attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Growth-oriented mindset with the ability to accept direction and feedback, and work independently.
• Excellent verbal, written, and technical communication skills.
• Ability to work well on a team; and
• Humility, a sense of humor, and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Lead, plan, and manage the Middle School Afterschool programming.
• Plan and develop educational programming that aligns with daytime topics or themes.
• Meet regularly with the Middle School Principal to work on program management and improvement.
• Ensure consistency of school culture across programming.
• Demonstrate effective instruction to Afterschool staff when appropriate.
• Oversee middle school club programming including homework assistance and clubs.
• Foster partnerships with community organizations, museums, and businesses.
• Support recruitment and selection of afterschool staff with the Talent Team.
