Job summary

City Year seeks an Afterschool Coordinator to work with the Impact Department, implementing high-quality afterschool programming across 16 partner schools in the Philadelphia area. This role supports recruitment, enrollment, and program delivery while rotating among sites to ensure consistent service.

The position is part-time, hourly, 25 hours/week during the school year and 20 hours/week in summer, paid at $20/hour, grant-funded through April 2029, with five in-person days required weekly.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1–2+ years of experience in related fields.
• Authorized to work in the United States with background clearance.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day afterschool programming across partner schools.
• Rotate among sites to ensure consistent program delivery.
• Coach and support AmeriCorps Members and school staff.
• Plan and coordinate academic, enrichment, and SEL activities.
• Ensure compliance with grants and organizational standards.
• Recruit, enroll, and engage students and families.
• Maintain strong partnerships with school staff and partners.
