Job summary

Utah State University is seeking an Afterschool Site Specialist for Magna, Utah. The role supports Kindergarten to 8th grade, coordinating with educators, families and students during afterschool hours, and helps recruit educators to lead clubs.

The Site Specialist works 3:15 pm–6:30 pm, Monday–Thursday, up to 25 hours weekly, serving as the primary liaison between families and the program and assisting with family nights and data entry to show grant success.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children.
• High degree of self-motivation.
• Ability to work independently and as a team member.
• Strong interpersonal, oral, and written skills.
• Experience in recruiting, supervising, and working with other adults.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills—Word, Excel and Internet.
• Access to reliable transportation to and from the work site.
• Must be available for all hours of program operation, with occasional evening availability required for family nights.

Responsibilities

• Oversee afterschool program schedule 3:15 pm–6:30 pm Mon-Thu.
• Check in/out students and provide snacks.
• Record attendance and other data; communicate with parents.
• Help families register for activities and recruit educators.
