Job summary

Utah State University Extension in Salt Lake County is seeking educators to run enriching afterschool clubs for students in Kearns and Magna, Utah. Clubs cover diverse subjects and run 1.5 hours daily during 9–10 week quarters, with some evenings for family nights.

Educators may teach multiple clubs with flexible days and times, typically 3:30–6:30 pm. Responsibilities include planning and teaching clubs weekly, tracking attendance, attending training, and participating in 4-H events.

Qualifications

• Must work effectively with youth, families, and school.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-starter with good follow-through.
• Ability to work with little supervision.

Responsibilities

• Plan and teach engaging afterschool clubs at least once a week for 8–10 weeks.
• Keep an attendance record of students.
• Attend required training.
• Comply with DWS licensed exempt requirements.
• Attend 4-H Afterschool events and club showcases.
• Other duties as assigned.
