Job summary

The YMCA of Coastal Georgia, Inc. operates the YBASE program in Savannah, GA. The Site Coordinator will lead groups of children ages 4-14, plan age-appropriate activities, and work with the Program Director to ensure smooth daily operations.

Responsibilities include attendance records, meals/snacks coordination with partners, and maintaining health and safety standards. Strong communication with families and staff is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Intermediate understanding of current child development principles and appropriate developmental practice.
• Experience in working with school age children.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background check and fingerprint check.
• Intermediate understanding of computer technology and ability to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Engage actively with groups of children indoors and outdoors.
• Plan, schedule and implement curriculum with Program Director, including setting up centers and activities.
• Maintain daily attendance reports and routine records, including supply ordering.
• Coordinate transitions between school day and parent pickup, ensure proper sign-in/out and transportation logs.
• Perform housekeeping tasks to sanitize and disinfect program areas and supplies.
