Job summary

The YMCA of Coastal Georgia is seeking a Part Time YBASE Group Leader in Savannah, GA 31405. You will lead and supervise children aged 4-14, implement program curricula, and support daily operations across multiple sites.

Responsibilities include active supervision, maintaining attendance, coordinating sign-in/out, and ensuring safety and compliance with regulations. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Basic understanding of child development principles.
• Experience with school-age children preferred.
• Must pass a criminal background and fingerprint check.
• Basic understanding of computer technology and ability to learn new systems.

Responsibilities

• Engage actively while supervising groups of children indoors/outdoors.
• Implement curriculum provided by the Program Director.
• Maintain attendance reports and routine records.
• Coordinate supervision transitions between school day and parent pickup; sign-in/out accuracy.
• If assigned to transportation, maintain bus logs and related records.
• Greet participants and prepare them for parent pickup.
• Assist with sanitizing and health/safety of YBASE areas and supplies.
• Distribute snacks/meals with accurate meal counts per regulations.
• Treat participants, families and staff with fairness, dignity and respect.
• Uphold YMCA standards of professionalism in conduct and dress.
• Participate in staff meetings and in-service training.
• Follow and maintain YBASE policies and procedures.
• Assist in member retention and Annual Campaign fundraising.
