Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking a Program Leader for the BASE program at Cougar Run Elementary in Highlands Ranch, CO. This split-shift role covers before and after school care and requires active supervision and engaging activities for children.

Responsibilities include planning activities, building positive relationships, communicating with families, and ensuring safety. Availability for 260 work days and a 0.50 FTE is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old and able to work with children.
• At least 3 months (455 hours) of verified care and supervision experience with four or more children over age four, or a Level I Early Childhood credential in version 3.0.

Responsibilities

• Plans and implements program activities and curriculum.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
• Builds healthy relationships with children by actively engaging with them, relating to them positively, and responding to their unique needs and interests.
• Ensures active supervision and safety of all children in program.
• Supports and guides behavior and promotes a positive and healthy program environment.
