Job summary

Foothills Park & Recreation District is seeking a Program Leader for After School Childcare to supervise and support youth aged 5-12 in a safe, engaging environment. The role runs 2:15/2:30pm–6:00pm on regular school days and extends during school breaks, with duties including activity planning and daily program delivery.

At least 18 years old and 460 hours of childcare experience are required. CPR/First Aid and background checks are mandatory, with opportunities to grow in a dynamic team

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Minimum 460 hours of documented experience working with children.
• Be able to obtain trainings required to work in a licensed childcare environment (CPR, First Aid, Mandated Reporter Training, Playground Safety, Injury Prevention and more).
• Pass TRAILS and CBI/FBI fingerprint background checks for working in licensed childcare.
• Flexible and reliable; available for after-school hours and extended breaks.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the daily supervision and care of youth ages 5-12.
• Maintain a safe environment and ensure safety precautions during programs, field trips and excursions.
• Facilitate activities such as arts, science, building and dramatic play.
• Assist in daily setup and delivery of programs including snacks, meals and supervision.
• Collaborate with other after school staff to plan activities.
