Job summary

Congreso in Philadelphia, PA, is seeking a Lead Group Facilitator to support the Site Coordinator in administering and supervising after-school and summer programs at the school. This onsite, 25-hour-per-week role focuses on program quality and youth development.

You will lead a team of group facilitators, contractors, interns, safety monitors, and youth, coordinate daily debriefings, maintain attendance, and recruit students while upholding Congreso's PCM model and DEI&B commitments.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in early childhood education or related field and 2 years' experience with children.
• In lieu of degree, high school diploma with 3+ years' experience with children.
• 2 years' experience in early childhood or afterschool settings.
• 1-2 years' team leadership experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of the Latino and urban community of Philadelphia is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Represent Congreso in line with mission, values, DEI&B.
• Support group facilitators in child development and project-based learning.
• Coordinate program progress and direct actions based on needs.
• Provide leadership support to site team members.
• Coordinate daily debriefings with site coordinator.
• Liaise between school staff and Congreso staff.
• Maintain accurate attendance records.
• Complete data entry forms per contracts.
• Build positive relationships with families.
• Recruit and enroll students into after-school program.
• Plan and implement special events.
• Facilitate and substitute teach clubs and activities.
