Job summary

Concilio De Organizaciones Hispanas in Philadelphia is seeking a Program Specialist (Youth Development) to support a year-long violence-prevention program for youth in high-risk communities. You will supervise youth, guide activities, and help create a safe, engaging environment.

The role requires at least 2 years of youth work experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to mentor youth through curriculum and enrichment activities.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• College coursework in education, social work, psychology, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years of experience working with youth, preferably in leadership/supervisory roles.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and mentor youth participants, providing guidance and support.
• Lead and implement daily program activities aligned with program goals.
• Chaperone field trips and ensure safety and engagement of youth.
• Maintain effective communication with the Program Coordinator, CBS Director/Manager, and parents.
• Track youth progress and assist with program evaluation and reporting.
