Job summary

YMCA of Greater New York is seeking a Site Coordinator for the Northeast Bronx location to oversee the Y Afterschool and Y Core programs at PS111. You will supervise activities, ensure safety, and maintain documentation for licensing and reporting requirements.

The role requires a college degree and 1–2 years of youth experience, with CPR/First Aid preferred. You will engage families, lead weekly lesson plans, and foster an inclusive, supportive environment for diverse youth and caregivers.

Qualifications

• College degree in a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience working with youth.
• Current CPR, First Aid, or RTE certifications preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and leadership abilities; comfortable with diverse youth and adults.

Responsibilities

• Ensure health, safety, and well-being of children in the program.
• Manage day-to-day operations of the Y Afterschool and Y Core programs.
• Maintain accurate program documentation (files, data entry, incident reports, attendance).
• Plan, create, and implement weekly lesson plans.
• Observe and assess individual needs of children and address issues.
• Support parents/guardians with referrals for evaluations/remediation of special needs.
• Monitor staff training attendance and certifications.
• Maintain supplies and equipment and ensure safety.
• Manage fiscal contracts and relationships with schools and funders.
