Job summary

Charter One is seeking a Teacher Assistant for The Academy of Before & Aftercare at American Leadership Academy-Mesa North Campus. This part-time role supports the Site Administrator in providing a safe, engaging, and enriching environment for students before and after school.

Afternoons from 2:15pm to 6:00pm. Duties include supervising, activity facilitation, homework help, and coordinating with parents and staff to ensure smooth program operations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass Background Check.
• At least 18 years of age.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students before and after school to ensure safety and well-being.
• Engage students in age-appropriate activities and outdoor play.
• Assist with homework and provide guidance as needed.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive environment and resolve conflicts.
• Set up and organize activity areas and assist with materials.
• Communicate about participation, behavior, and concerns with parents/guardians.
• Collaborate with the Site Coordinator and staff to run the program smoothly.
• Document student progress and attendance as required.
• Support enrichment activities and special projects.
