Job summary

Charter One is hiring a part-time Teacher Assistant for The Academy of Before & Aftercare at the Johnston campus. You will support the Site Administrator by supervising students after school and creating a safe, engaging environment from 2:15 PM to 6:00 PM.

Responsibilities include guiding activities, helping with homework, and maintaining open communication with families. The role requires a high school diploma, background check, and CPR/First Aid certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass Applicable Background Check.
• At least 18 years of age or older.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certification.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during before and after school hours, ensuring safety.
• Engage students with age appropriate activities and games.
• Provide homework support and guidance to students.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive environment and resolve conflicts.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about participation and behavior.
• Assist in organizing activities and documenting student progress.
