Job summary

Charter One’s The Academy of Before & Aftercare is hiring Teacher Assistants for the American Leadership Academy-Vistancia campus. This part-time role runs from 2:45pm to 6:00pm, assisting the Site Administrator in providing a safe, engaging environment after school hours.

You will supervise students, lead activities, help with homework, and support a positive classroom culture while communicating with parents and coordinating with staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• CPR/First Aid certification is required.
• Pass Applicable Background Check.
• At least 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Supervise students during before and after school program hours to ensure safety.
• Engage students in age-appropriate activities, including crafts and outdoor play.
• Provide homework support and guidance as needed.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive environment and promote respectful behavior.
• Communicate with parents/guardians regarding participation and concerns.
• Assist in organizing classrooms and activity areas before/after program hours.
