Job summary

Flipany is seeking a warm, organized Office Support staff member to serve as the front-desk and administrative anchor for the AWA Broward afterschool program at Deerfield Beach Elementary School.

Working under the Program Manager, you will manage the program office during 2:00 PM – 6:00 PM hours, greet families, maintain enrollment and attendance, and oversee a safe, organized sign-out process while remaining a calm, professional communicator.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; minimum age 18.
• Experience in an office, front-desk, customer service, or administrative role—preferably in a school, childcare, or youth-serving setting.
• Basic to intermediate computer skills including email, Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Ability to pass a Level 2 background screening and obtain SBBC clearance and vendor badges.
• Current CPR/First Aid/AED certification and willingness to complete mandatory trainings (DCF, SBBC) are encouraged.

Responsibilities

• Greet families and serve as the welcoming first point of contact in person, by phone, and by email.
• Manage enrollment and attendance records and communicate schedule changes promptly.
• Oversee daily sign-out process, verify photo IDs, and ensure authorized student releases.
• Coordinate with program staff via two-way radio to call students safely to dismissal.
• Maintain daily attendance and student records in line with CSC MOST grant guidelines and BCPS standards.
