Job summary

Arc After School & Experiential Education is seeking a part-time Program Leader to support after-school programming in Southern California. You will greet students, lead homework help, crafts, and enrichment activities, and help run engaging clubs.

Ideal candidates have at least one year in youth programs, strong communication with kids and parents, and 48+ college credits or equivalent. TB test and Live Scan clearance may be required; bilingual English/Spanish candidates are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in after-school programs or youth recreation.
• Strong communication with kids and parents, ability to engage diverse groups.
• 48+ college credits completed or pass an academic proficiency exam.
• Provide TB test results and a Live Scan background check.
• Bilingual English/Spanish candidates are preferred and stand out.

Responsibilities

• Greet and welcome kids at the end of the school day.
• Organize and lead activities including homework help, arts and crafts, and enrichment projects.
• Join indoor and outdoor enrichment activities.
• Create clubs for students (e.g., career readiness, cooking, anime, dance).
• Maintain a safe environment by following safety protocols and supervising group dynamics.
• Oversee student safety and well-being during after-school activities.
• Encourage participation and adapt activities to diverse needs.
