Job summary

Good Shepherd Services, Ltd seeks a Senior Group Leader for the Brooklyn, NY afterschool program. The role supports the Director/Assistant Director and leads a group with supervision, development, and planning of activities aligned to the afterschool model.

The Senior GL coaches junior staff, delivers program activities, and ensures safety, documentation, and family outreach. Scheduling is Mon-Fri, 2:00 PM–6:00 PM; 18 hours/week with salary range $21.50–$22.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Group Leader.

Responsibilities

• Plan and facilitate activities aligned with the afterschool model.
• Supervise, develop and manage the group; coach junior GLs.
• Model professional conduct in line with the program's values.
• Engage in outreach to participants and families to ensure attendance.
• Maintain and submit participant and staff records and required documentation.
• Prepare sequenced lesson plans and teach a developmentally appropriate curriculum.
• Attend staff meetings and trainings; support program events and parent engagement.
