Good Shepherd Services in New York is seeking an Assistant Group Leader to support the after-school enrichment and recreational program. The role is part-time, up to 20 hours per week, with a schedule Monday–Friday, 2pm–6pm, and a salary of $17.00 per hour.

The site is located at 2050 Prospect Avenue, Bronx, NY 10457. You will assist the group leader with activities, supervise youth, collect attendance data, distribute snacks, and help ensure a safe, engaging environment in alignment with GSS,

Formación

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Reliable and consistent work habits; ability to work with youth.
• Available during the program hours listed.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to work in a dynamic team environment.
• Commitment to youth development perspective.

Responsabilidades

• Assist group leader with engaging activities, including sports and recreation, educational, arts and craft and special events.
• Collect attendance folder and other data as necessary.
• Supervise participants throughout afterschool program.
• Distribute snacks and assist with clean-up.
• Assist with monitoring and maintaining the rules of the program and upholding the afterschool model.
• Support activity instructor(s) with lessons.
• Collaborate with group leader to ensure a safe and supportive environment.
• Follows all GSS, DYCD and SACC regulations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
