Job summary

Kama'aina Kids in Lihue, HI is seeking a part-time program assistant for Kaumuali`i after-school offerings. You’ll lead games and activities, help with homework, and support a safe, welcoming environment for keiki after school.

Shifts are Monday–Friday afternoons, roughly 1:30 PM–5:30 PM, with no evenings or weekends and a pay range of $18–$21 per hour plus benefits for part-time employees.

Qualifications

• No years of childcare experience required.
• Genuinely enjoys working with elementary-age children.
• Brings energy and enthusiasm to a group.

Responsibilities

• Lead games, recreation, and outdoor activities.
• Plan arts, crafts, STEM, and other enrichment activities.
• Support children with homework and schoolwork.
• Encourage teamwork, confidence, and positive behavior.
• Build positive relationships with keiki and their families.
• Help maintain a safe, welcoming, and organized program.
